JOB VACANCY - Function Supervisor
The Manor Basket Range is a busy and award winning wedding, events and accommodation business located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.
We are looking for an energetic and experienced hospitality professional to lead our food and beverage team.
This is a hands on operational role and this person is responsible for overseeing our events from start to finish.
We are looking for some one who has experience in a similar role in events or fast paced food and beverage environment.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent customer service skills and experience in supervising and motivating a team.
This is a full time position, availability for weekends and late nights is essential as well as having your own reliable vehicle.
The role will be responsible for:
- Managing the function room set ups

Managing the event delivery and service
- Managing and rostering event staff

Assisting with recruitment and induction of new team members
- Assisting with venue tours and planning meetings
- Assist with general inquiries to the venue
Skills and experience
- Warm, customer service focused individual with a passion for Weddings and Events
- A minimum of 3 years experience working within a hands on hospitality environment, experience working in events and weddings is highly desirable
- Will need to available to work nights and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)
- Valid RSA Certificate and Responsible Person
- Must have drivers license and own reliable vehicle
- The ability to delegate and manage staff effectively
- The ability to work under pressure and to a deadline
- To be highly adaptable and use your own initiative during events
- Great wine knowledge and passion for food and beverage
- Fabulous attention to detail, who has pride in ensuring every event set up is beautifully and set with precision.
This is a hands on role and it is expected that the successful applicant will be responsible for function rooms set ups including moving furniture, setting tables and stocking bars along with hands on service delivery for the events.
